CLAIRE CORCORAN
Concept Artist and Animator

About Me
Originally from Jacksonville, FL, Claire Corcoran is a concept artist who as a child was always the artist of the family, spending hours sketching and watching behind-the-scenes features of her favorite Disney films. While her family joked she would become an art teacher, Claire always knew she wanted a different path.
In 2015, Claire graduated from Edward H. White High School, then enrolling in Florida State College at Jacksonville to work on her Associate’s Degree. During that time, she took art classes at her campus’s studio and started to truly believe she had real talent in art, and that it sparked joy and purpose in her. However, Claire was uncertain as to how exactly she wanted to use her talent to make a career, or if she had the skill level necessary to make it in such an industry. So Claire continued to take those art classes just for her own enjoyment while she finished up her core classes, while balancing part time jobs. Trying to find her footing as a young adult, and deciding on what direction she wished for her life to take.
After earning her Associate’s Degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2020, she took time to reflect on her future during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by her lifelong passion for animation, she pursued the Experimental Animation track at UCF, where she refined her artistic skills and creative vision.
In 2025, Claire Corcoran graduated from the University of Central Florida with her BFA in Emerging Media. Now, as a concept artist, she aspires to shape the media landscape for future generations, just as the artists before her once inspired her.
